Underdogs of the year - Chennai Super Kings - have performed beyond expectations in the IPL so far and Ravindra Jadeja credits skipper MS Dhoni for their fine run of form. Dhoni has notched up 360 runs at an outstanding average of 90 from 10 matches to lead the way for the yellow brigade.

Chennai Super Kings have proved all their doubters wrong so far as they have managed to work their way up the table to second spot with 14 points from 10 matches. The two batsmen at the top, Ambati Rayudu and Shane Watson have done well with the bat as have bowlers Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, and Lungi Ngidi with the ball. Players like Sam Billings, Dwayne Bravo, and Suresh Raina have done their part as well but the standout performer for the guys from down south will undoubtedly be their skipper, MS Dhoni.

Ravindra Jadeja has also been a vital cog in the team with his performances with both bat and ball, but he admitted that the credit for the team’s performance goes to captain MS Dhoni.

"Whether we win or lose, our motive is always to not blame anyone in particular for that. Whatever the result, it's because of the team's effort. That's our mantra. It is something that binds the team together.

"Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) always says, 'we win together, we lose together.' It's amazing when your leader has faith in you and gives you the confidence that win or lose, we stick together," Jadeja told IPLT20.com

Dhoni has indeed been in top-form as his performances in the middle-order have taken the fans down memory lane and reminisce vintage Dhoni at his prime. Dhoni has hit 360 runs with three half-centuries at an outstanding average of 90 from 10 matches.

Dhoni and Co. have won seven of their 10 matches while they have lost only three of them. CSK players will be enjoying a short break before they return to the pitch on May 11 when they face Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
