Red hot Steve Smith poured cold water on England's bouncer tactic and punished the hosts with a magnificent double century. Smith's 211 took Australia to a massive first inning total of 497. The entire cricket fraternity showered praise on Steve Smith for his stunning double ton at Manchester.

The Day two of the fourth Test was owned by Steve Smith, who started the day on 60 and batted almost the entire day to end up with a double century. SmithΒ got some good support from rest of the Aussie batsmen. Matthew Wade stood there with Smith for a pretty long time while skipper Tim Paine made his first half-century of the series. Mitchell Starc's batting cameo added more pain for England as the tail-ender also scored a half-century. By the time Steve Smith reached 211, he had England on submission. The home side now has a huge task as Australia declared after posting a mammoth total of 497. The entire cricket fraternity reacted on the same and also lauded Steve Smith for his latest act of brilliance.
