Meanwhile, Dhoni's entrance into the game marked a crucial moment, especially when his razor-sharp decision to review a wide ball proved fruitful.

In the 18th over, Lucknow speedster bowler Mohsin Khan delivered a ball outside the off stump, tempting Dhoni to drive. However, the ball was too wide sneaking Dhoni's bat and landing straight into the gloves of Lucknow wicketkeeper KL Rahul. Initially deemed a legal delivery by on-field umpire Anil Chaudhary, Dhoni promptly called for a review. TV umpire Bruce Oxenford reviewed the footage and confirmed that the ball was indeed outside the line, prompting Chaudhary to correct his decision and signal a wide.
