Shivam Dube replaces Nitish Kumar Reddy for the Zimbabwe tour

‌The 21-year-old Vizag born was in the news lately with his brilliant performance in the Indian Premier League which concluded last month. Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 303 runs at an average of 33.67 and a strike rate of 142.92, playing a crucial role in bolstering the SRH middle order. Furthermore, with the ball, he scalped three wickets and was adjudged the Emerging player of the season. Meanwhile, Dube is currently part of the Indian squad competing in the ICC World T20. The Mumbai all-rounder had a mediocre performance in the tournament, scoring just 106 runs with an average of 26.50 and a strike rate of 107.07.

In an official statement on their website, BCCI said, “ The Men’s Selection Committee named Shivam Dube as a replacement for the injured Nitish Reddy in India’s squad for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe.” They further added, “ The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring Nitish Reddy’s progress”.
