IND vs NZ | Twitter and Kohli amused as Rohit Sharma drops expletives for Jaiswal’s random throw

Some characters on the cricket field bring plenty of entertainment with their unique presence and quirky behaviour. A prime example is Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who, in classic form, was spotted reprimanding Yashasvi Jaiswal for an errant throw, using a few choice words to make his point.

‌Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill began cautiously but soon unleashed aggressive strokes, building a 96-run partnership, aided by two dropped catches. However, Ish Sodhi dismissed Pant, breaking the stand, and India’s lower order struggled, eventually bowled out for 263 with a slim 28-run lead. After Tea, Washington Sundar and Ashwin took key wickets, including Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra, leaving New Zealand at 89/3 with a 61-run lead by day's end. With Will Young and Daryl Mitchell at the crease, New Zealand reached 89/3, leading by 61 runs. However, there came a moment of laughter which included Rohit Sharma’s typical funny behaviour.

On the fifth ball of the 26th over, Ashwin bowled a full delivery to  Young who drove it toward mid-off and dashed for a quick single. Positioned in that area, Jaiswal picked up the ball smoothly but made a wild throw that sailed past Ashwin and ended up with Sarfaraz Khan at short leg. Noticing Jaiswal's wayward throw, Rohit Sharma kept a straight face and muttered something that made Kohli chuckle, prompting Jaiswal to smile as he caught on to Rohit’s reaction. Fans on Twitter couldn’t help but be entertained by Rohit’s classic, playful response.
