IND vs BAN | Twitter and Surya share a heartfelt moment for Samson following his stellar century departure

When someone rises to the occasion while others lose their focus, a wave of heartfelt emotions often follows. Such was the case for Sanju Samson in the final T20I between India and Bangladesh at Hyderabad, where his departure after scoring a century left Suryakumar Yadav feeling for him.

‌The Indian batters were in a punishing mood, launching a fierce assault on the Bangladesh bowlers. After the early loss of Abhishek Sharma, it was Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav who wreaked havoc, propelling the score to 82/1 by the end of the powerplay. Both batters reached half-centuries in under 25 deliveries, helping India amass a mammoth 152/1 at the end of 10 overs. Samson then went on to score a brilliant century in just 31 balls, but his impressive innings was cut short when Mustafizur Rahman dismissed him in the 14th over.

On the fourth delivery of that over, Mustafizur bowled a short ball that slightly deceived Samson with its lack of pace. He attempted to smash it over deep square leg for a maximum but mistimed the shot entirely. The ball sailed into the hands of Mahedi Hasan, who was positioned perfectly for the regulation catch. As the packed Hyderabad crowd rose to applaud, Samson walked off after scoring 111 runs off 47 deliveries. Suryakumar, with his arm around Samson’s shoulder and a smile on his face, showed appreciation for the spectacular innings, sending the Twitterverse into a frenzy.

 It ends!!
