LSG vs DC | Twitter stunned as Mukesh channels inner Starc with reverse swinging yorker to dispatch Marsh

The Indian Premier League has provided bustling youngsters a platform to learn from the best in the business, and who better to teach swinging yorkers than Mitchell Starc. The Delhi Capitals speedster's teammate Mukesh Kumar produced one of the balls of the year on Tuesday to dismiss Mitch Marsh.

Lucknow Super Giants got off to a resplendent start against the Delhi Capitals in Lucknow on Tuesday as a spree of gorgeous strokes from Aiden Markram took the hosts to 51/0 at the end of the powerplay, even as Mitchell Marsh struggled to find his bearings at the other end. However, once the Protean succumbed after registering his half-century, the hosts struggled to keep the momentum going and the onus fell on Marsh's shoulders to bail them out of trouble. Yet, before the Aussie could do much damage, he was outdone by a perfect yorker from Mukesh Kumar that left him clueless and with disturbed stumps.

Marsh was just five runs away from his fifty when he had to contend with the Indian pacer on the final ball of the 14th over, with Mukesh having already scalped Abdul Samad earlier in the over. The 31-year-old steamed in from over the wicket and aimed right for the blockhole with the seam upright. If the accuracy of the ball wasn't enough already to trouble the Aussie opener, the hint of reverse swing that accoompanied the delivery made the task nigh impossible. Marsh tried to jam his bat into the ground but never had a chance as the Kookaburra snuck past his inside edge and rattled into the stumps, leaving him in disarray and Mukesh with his arms up in the sky.

Twitterati was quick to label the jaffa as one of the contenders for the ball of the tournament.
