CPL, WATCH | Twitter in splits after Shai Hope's unusual hit-wicket dismissal

There have been some bizarre dismissals in the game of cricket that have caught the attention of the cricketing world. One of these incidents was witnessed in the Caribbean Premier League, where Shai Hope found one of the weirdest ways to be hit wicket against the Trinbago Knight Riders.

‌The day finally came when one of the biggest rivalry games took place between the Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors, and it was the Knight Riders who extended their lead in the tournament against the Warriors with a resounding six-wicket win. While there were some great performances within the Trinidadian franchise, the same cannot be said about the Amazon Warriors, with the only positives in the game being an incredible spell by Imran Tahir and a decent 39-run knock by Shai Hope. Unfortunately for Hope, while he did manage to play some incredible shots in his innings, it was his dismissal that became the viral moment of the game.

The Warriors’ wicket-keeper batter was looking solid at the crease and was up against Terrence Hinds in the 15th over, but was dismissed in one of the most unusual ways on the first delivery of the over.  Hinds had bowled a wide delivery to keep the ball away from the arc of the batter, and what could have been an extra run for the team resulted in a wicket as Hope went chasing for the ball with a wild attempt at a switch hit, which resulted in his blade crashing into the stumps. This wicket not only helped the hosts restrict the  Warriors to a below-par score but also made the experienced campaigner the fourth batter to be dismissed hit wicket in the franchise tournament.

The fans start to troll the elegant stroke maker after the dismissal
