Clear Communication is key in every spectrum of work else it might lead to unprecedented events. Anamul Haque Bijoy's runout in the recent Bangladesh Premier League clash between the Durbar Rajshahi and Rangpur Riders resonated with a similar vibe, drawing labels from Pakistan’s poor standards.

Winning the toss and choosing to field first, Rakibul Hasan struck the first blow for the Rangpur Riders after getting the better of Mohammad Haris. Sabbir Rahman and Anamul built the fort, consolidating a 52-run stand before the former was a goner in the eighth over, followed by Ryan Burl’s golden duck. Subsequently, Yasir Ali countered the Riders’ bowlers, scoring 60 in a 76-run fourth-wicket stand. Khusdil Shah outdid him in the 16th over, not long before Bijoy’s anchoring knock concluded due to a poor mixup with Akbar.

On the first ball of the 17th over, Akif Javed came around the wicket and bowled a back of a length delivery to Akbar who tapped from outside the line towards short of mid on. As Bijoy hurled for a quick single, Akbar complimented initially with a couple of steps before backing down seeing the steaming in short mid wicket fielder. Eventually, the two batters were seen stranded at the striker’s end while Khusdil Shah, the close-in fielder reached near the stumps at the bowler’s end and waited for one of them to arrive. Eventually, Bijoy was ruled as dismissed as Khusdil whipped the bails in style. The set batter, Bijoy was seen boiling in frustration and left the field after exchanging a few words with Akbar.

Deadly Mixup!
