Royal Challengers Bengaluru could not have scripted the start of Qualifier 1 any better against Punjab Kings as the side scalped three wickets in the powerplay to leave the hosts reeling. Yash Dayal produced the first breakthrough by having Priyansh Arya caught at cover, but a crisis loomed as long as the in-form Prabhsimran Singh remained at the crease with the Orange Cap still within sights. When the opener struck two consecutive fours in the third over, the battle began to feel ominous but Bhuvneshwar Kumar did not take long to calm Bengaluru nerves much to the delight of his former skipper.
Bhuvi banged the ball a bit shorter and Prabhsimran was lured into another slog, but this time the Kookaburra bounced just enough to catch the outside edge and fly into Jitesh Sharma's hands. Before the team could even go up in a proper appeal, Kohli was already charging down the ground towards the bowler, arms aloft and voice box strained to its maximum. A few more screams and passionate fist pumps followed, showcasing a whole multitude of passion from the 36-year-old the world has grown accustomed to.
Twitterati enjoyed the scenes all the same.

Dismissed
That prabhsimran dismissal was all due to Bhuvi experience
— Rishabh (@livnginkohliera)
Bhuvi knew he would come down track, so he just kept his length little short to get edge
Not too short otherwise would have missed bat swing
High BP
I'm pretty sure Punjab fans BP are through the roof while watching Prabhsimran bat. Bro's moving around like McCullum for every single ball like he will get out any ball.

Intent
"I would rather have Priyansh and Prabhsimran over Gill and Sai sudarshan"😂😂😂
— Piyush (@enzoXtanjiro)
This is what your intent merchants do when you need them the most
Need luck
Much of T20 hitting requires luck even now. I saw Prabhsimran play an innings earlier on and he kinda rode his luck. Couldn't today. Swings of this format. But he has his heart in the right place and bit of skill. He'll come off more days than not.

Not very good
Not a very good over by Dayal tbf. Floaty inswinger slightly fuller than good length with width to Priyansh. Width to Inglis, Prabhsimran and then drifting down leg on the last delivery.
