UAE vs IND | Twitter goes 'Boom Boom' as cricket's most lethal yorker sends Sharafu's stump cartwheeling

Rarely ever before has the debate around the best T20 bowler in the world be as open and shut as at present, courtesy of the all-conquering Jasprit Bumrah. Returning to Indian colours after a month, the pacer showed no signs of rust in Dubai on Wednesday as he opened his Asia Cup account in style.

‌United Arab Emirates got off to a confident start after beinga asked to bat first on a fresh pitch at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium as the first three overs got them 25 runs without the loss of a wicket. The tally included a boundary off Jasprit Bumrah's first over through a resplendent pull by Alishan Sharafu but a riposte was inevitable, and it arrived in typical Bumrah fashion.

Sharafu had himself the misfortune of returning to strike in the fourth over after skipper Muhammad Waseem took a single, bringing him face to face with Bumrah. The Indian speedster required a solitary delivery to take his vengeance as the perfect yorker snuck under Sharafu's bat, landed in the crease behind him, and hit the base of off-stump to uproot with aplomb. The opener could only stare at the ground in disbelief before quietly walking off, with Bumrah as expressionless after conducting business as usual.

Despite the frequence of such jaffas from Bumrah, Twitterati could not help but fall in love with the Indian spearhead all over again.

Bowled him!

Knocked him over
