As the 2024/2025 Premier League season nears its conclusion, Mohamed Salah is reportedly close to signing a new two-year contract with Liverpool, ending months of speculation. The 32-year-old Egyptian forward has been in stellar form, contributing 27 goals and 17 assists in 31 league games to help Liverpool secure an 11-point lead over Arsenal. Talks between Salah and the club have been progressing positively, with a breakthrough finally reached. Similarly, captain Virgil van Dijk is also nearing a contract extension, having confirmed progress in negotiations.

Both players’ current deals expire this summer, but they’ve made it clear that staying at Anfield is their top priority. Liverpool have remained confident throughout the process, and their persistence now appears to be paying off. Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract also expires in June, is reportedly in talks with Real Madrid and is keen on a move to the LaLiga giants. However, his situation is not expected to impact Salah and Van Dijk’s decisions.

Salah has scored 243 goals in 394 games for Liverpool, making him the club's third-highest all-time scorer. His potential renewal, alongside Van Dijk’s, is seen as a major boost for Liverpool’s future ambitions and a serious warning to their title rivals.
