Coming up this summer, Chelsea are accelerating their push to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, 22, who impressed in the Bundesliga with 15 goals and 8 assists across 33 appearances. Signed from PSG for £14 million in 2024, Ekitike has attracted attention from Arsenal and Liverpool as well.

However, Chelsea are making the boldest move, according to reports from France, as they look to secure the French forward amid strong competition. Frankfurt, aware of the Premier League interest, have set a £60 million price tag. The club may agree to a sale if their valuation is met, per sporting director Markus Krosche, despite Ekitike having a contract through June 2029.

This transfer would mark a significant profit for Frankfurt and reinforce Chelsea’s offensive line, especially with the expected £30 million arrival of Ipswich striker Liam Delap. Chelsea are aiming to ease the burden on current striker Nicolas Jackson, who managed just 10 league goals last season and the Blues have already signed midfielder Dario Essugo from Sporting on an eight-year deal, signaling an aggressive start to their summer rebuild.
