Chelsea All Set to Reignite Interest in Brighton’s Joao Pedro

Chelsea are once again targeting Brighton’s Joao Pedro, a versatile 23-year-old forward valued at £100 million. Initially admired under Pochettino, new boss Enzo Maresca is also keen, but Chelsea may seek more polished talent.

For the upcoming summer transfer window, Chelsea have reignited their interest in Brighton forward Joao Pedro, a player long admired by the club. The 23-year-old Brazilian, who joined Brighton from Watford in 2023 for £30 million, is reportedly valued at £100 million by the Seagulls, a steep rise due to his impressive performances over two seasons. This season, Pedro has made 30 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 7 assists, following a 2023/24 campaign with 20 goals and 3 assists in 40 matches.

Pedro’s versatility, capable of playing as a striker, No.10, or winger, makes him a strong fit for Chelsea's system under new manager Enzo Maresca. Previously, Mauricio Pochettino also admired the player during his tenure at Stamford Bridge.
