Bengal Warriors’ experienced raider Sukesh Hegde has said that he is happy by getting closer to the trophy in the seventh season of the PKL. Dabang Delhi coach Krishan Kumar Hooda talked about the disciplined nature of the players in the two teams and said that the final will be great for the fans.

Bengal Warriors, despite the absence of Maninder Singh, won their semi-final clash against U Mumba and qualified for the final for the very first time in their franchise history. Sukesh Hegde was the star for the Kolkata-based team as he picked up eight raid points and contributed to the team’s win. Hegde has expressed his delight of getting closer to the trophy in the seventh edition of the league.

“I am very happy that we have made it to the finals; the team was in the semi-finals thrice in the past - we are getting closer to the trophy,” Hegde said before the final game against Delhi.

On the other hand, Dabang Delhi coach Krishan Kumar Hooda, who took over the team in the sixth edition, is now hoping to win the title for the first time. Delhi had made it to the playoffs last year and had topped the points table in the league stage earlier this season. Delhi got the better of Bengaluru Bulls in the first semi-final clash to make their way into the final which will be played on Saturday.

“Vivo Pro Kabaddi over the years has given the sport a lot of young new players. With the talent they have showcased, they are a promising set of players who are the future of Indian kabaddi. Both teams are very disciplined, and the finals will be a great game to witness and enjoy for all our fans. As a coach, I promise, that the team will not disappoint our fans,” the Delhi coach commented.
