When the Bengaluru Bulls entered preparations for Pro Kabaddi League Season 12, coach BC Ramesh stressed building a balanced and defence-focused squad. Known for turning teams into champions, Ramesh has structured the side with a mix of senior players and promising youngsters. Raider Akash Shinde praised the coach’s philosophy of grooming talent, highlighting the strength of corners Ankush Rathee and Yogesh. Ankush, speaking on his own experience, said the video-led training methods and fitness-oriented approach were helping players sharpen their skills and maintain focus.

Ramesh underlined that the team’s primary target is to create one of the best defensive units in the league, bringing in top defenders for key positions with strong backups. He emphasized that the camp’s environment is friendly, with raiders and defenders working in coordination, reducing pressure on individuals. The coach also described kabaddi as a thrilling, man-to-man sport that demands fitness, patience, and discipline.

He highlighted the role of nutrition, supplements, and proper rest in ensuring player performance and injury prevention. Calling PKL a big platform, Ramesh noted how the league has made kabaddi the second most-watched sport in India while offering opportunities for youngsters from rural and farming families to rise into national prominence.
