The Pro Kabaddi League season 12 introduces a new tie-breaker system, replacing the old draw rule. Matches ending in a tie will now feature a five-raid shootout with five selected raiders per team. Out and revival rules are ignored, and points are counted only from raids. If still tied, the Golden Raid decides the winner. Previously, tied games awarded 3 points each, but now every match will have a clear result.

After the announcement of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12, excitement is building as twelve teams gear up for the eight-week league phase followed by playoffs. Defending champions Haryana Steelers will enter the season aiming to retain their title, while teams like Tamil Thalaivas and Puneri Paltan are seen as strong contenders.

The league has introduced new tie-breaker rules to ensure decisive outcomes. Matches ending in a draw will now go into a five-raid shootout, with each team selecting five different raiders. During the shootout, out and revival rules do not apply, and only points scored by raiders or defenders are counted.

Both teams pick seven players each, and the baulk line also counts as a bonus line. If the shootout ends in a tie, the Golden Raid will decide the winner, a rule previously reserved for playoffs. The traditional system of sharing three points in a drawn game has been abolished, making every match produce a result.
