ENG-W vs WI-W Match Preview | England women target opening ODI win after dominant T20 sweep

England Women enjoyed a dominant outing in the T20I series against West Indies, sweeping it 3-0. Nat Sciver-Brunt’s team now turns its attention to the ODI series, aiming to carry forward their winning form, while West Indies will be determined to regroup and mount a strong comeback.

‌England Women will face West Indies Women in the opening ODI of their three-match bilateral series at the County Ground in Derby. The match is set to begin at 5:30 PM on May 30. Despite their recent T20I dominance, where they clean swept West Indies 3-0, England Women enter the ODI leg with some concerns. Since their series win over Ireland Women in 2024, they’ve suffered consecutive defeats in ODI series against South Africa and Australia, highlighting a dip in their 50-over form.

On the other hand, West Indies Women will be eager to bounce back after a disappointing T20I campaign. Their recent record in the ODI format offers optimism, having won three of their last four matches. With momentum on their side in the longer format, the visitors will look to challenge an England side searching for consistency in ODIs.
