St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots batted first and won the toss. They had a good opening start of 37 runs in just 4.3 overs by the opening pair of Andre Fletcher and Mohammad Rizwan. Both batters smashed some brilliant boundaries to accelerate the scoring rate. It came to an end when Bosch dismissed Fletcher, getting him caught by Sherfane Rutherford. Following his dismissal, Rizwan and Kyle Mayers also added 42 runs for the second wicket. Mayers smashed 36 runs off just 20 balls, with two fours and three sixes, followed by Rizwan’s 41 runs off 36 balls, with five fours. The late contributions of Rilee Rossouw (19) and skipper Jason Holder (14) helped the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots post 164/8 in the allotted 20 overs. Daniel Sams bagged two wickets for 28 runs in his four overs, alongside two wickets picked by Eathan Bosch. Apart from these two, Chris Green also claimed a wicket for 27 runs in his four overs.

While chasing the target, the Royals’ opening pair of Quinton de Kock and Brandon King stitched a fiery opening partnership of 43 runs in just 4.5 overs. Dominic Drakes broke this partnership, dismissing King on the fifth ball of the fifth over. King displayed some quick shots, hitting four fours and a six. Following the first blow, De Kock and Kadeem Alleyne also added 21 runs for the second wicket before the latter fell prey to Waqar Salamkheil, after scoring 14 runs off 10 balls, with two fours. De Kock continued to stay there in the middle and added a game-changing partnership of 50 runs for the third wicket with Rassie van der Dussen. De Kock’s valiant efforts came to an end after scoring 55 runs off 37 balls, with seven fours and two sixes. Later in the innings, Van der Dussen’s unbeaten knock of 39 runs off 31 balls, with three fours and a six, took the Barbados Royals cross the line in 18.4 overs, scoring 167/5. With this win, they have registered their second consecutive win in the tournament.
