The English trio of Jonny Bairstow, Jake Ball, and Liam Plunkett have accepted a written warning and an undisclosed fine for their unprofessional conduct during the recent ODI series against the West Indies. The investigation was not linked with the Ben Stokes and Alex Hales controversy.

Stokes and Hales were suspended from the national-team duty due to an incident outside a Bristol nightclub. In a footage, the England vice-captain was seen throwing punches during the street-fight.

"No final decision has been taken on his involvement in Australia," England said Friday about Stokes. In Stokes' absence, England have added fast bowler Steven Finn to its 16-man test squad for the Ashes.

A week after the Stokes incident, three more England cricketers Bairstow, Ball, and Plunkett were also punished for off-field misbehavior. As reported by Associated Press, ECB conducted an internal investigation into behavior within the England one-day squad and all the three players have been given formal written warnings and fined for unprofessional behavior.

However, the ECB didn’t provide the details of the investigation but they cleared that this issue is 'unrelated to the investigations into Ben Stokes and Alex Hales'.
