IND vs BAN | Twitter reacts to Bangladesh's rough tactics as Hasan’s wild throw leaves Akash Deep injured

In sports, it's not always the battle of the skillsets but also about facing off the mindset. Hasan Mahmud’s wild throw to run out Akash Deep culminated in the latter getting injured, echoing the non-deliberate wild tactics by the Bangladesh side to get the hosts folded in the first innings

The Indian pair of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja failed to extend their rosy run with the bat on the second day’s morning session. Taskin Ahmed gleamed with the ball after rectifying his line and length but Akash Deep stood tall with his counter-punch play. Irritated by the tail’s resistance, the Bangladeshi side opted for a bit of tough play with a wild throw from Hasan injuring Akash and causing a delay in play.

The third ball of the 89th over saw Taskin bowl a fuller delivery at Akash with a pace of almost 140 kph. As the batter tried to dig it out with soft hands, the faint inside edge ricocheted off the pad towards mid-wicket region. As the batter left the crease in search of a single, Hasan aimed a throw at the stumps that went on to thud Akash’s back. Soon after, the Bihar-born was seen in pain and the physio strolled into the ground to help him out, leading to a pause in play. Although Hasan went up to Akash to check on him, the Twitterverse ignored the sporting spirit and buzzed around social media.
