Nepal and the West Indies will lock horns with each other in the first T20I of the three-match series, at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah on Saturday, September 27. This game will also be the first-ever T20I clash between Nepal and the West Indies since the former made their debut.
Nepal have been through a mixed kind of form in their last five T20Is, with two wins and three defeats. They are coming off a 34-run defeat against Scotland, following two consecutive wins. Earlier, they lost to Kuwait and the Netherlands. Now, Rohit Paudel’s men will look forward to gearing up for their preparations for the T20 World Cup 2026, which is just a couple of months away.
On the other hand, the West Indies haven’t been through an expected run of form in their last five games, with four defeats and only one win. They are coming off a 1-2 defeat in the three-match series against Pakistan in July and August. Before that, they faced two consecutive defeats against Australia in the T20I series. The Caribbean side will also strengthen its preparations for the prestigious cricket biennial next year.
