NZ vs AUS | Twitter in awe as Dwarshuis channels inner-Starc to send Conway’s middle stump flying

‌Australia got immediate rewards after captain Mitchell Marsh opted to bowl against New Zealand in the first T20I at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. In blustery conditions, pacer Josh Hazlewood struck with the second ball of the game to send back opener Tim Seifert.

Ben Dwarshuis, then, backed him up impressively with a double-wicket over as the hosts slid to 6/3 inside just two overs. After conceding singles off the first two balls, the left-arm seamer used the conditions well to pitch the ball on a good length on the leg stump.

Fellow opener Devon Conway tried to charge down the deck to negotiate the swinging ball but failed miserably. The ball swung away from his bat to hit the middle stump as the timber went flying.

Dwarshuis was visibly elated as he got the better of the left-hander to give Australia a great start against their Trans-Tasman rivals. Conway was shocked to see his stumps go for a cartwheel and started his long walk back to the pavilion.
